Moving On...

Today is my last day at my current job which means it's also my last day with a laptop until I buy my own. So, I may be gone for a week or two until I can get my own, or at least get my PC up and running.

Any suggestions on a new laptop purchase???

Have fun out there in cyberspace without me. I may have to camp out at the library.

*gasp* i now realise my laptop belongs to my company too.. its my lifeline..

get a light one if you lug it around daily .. and one of those Susan G. Koemenn breast cancer black and pink tote bags for it. Very sassy.

Well, good luck with the new job, I look forward to new posts on the new machine. Bless.

I have an Inspiron 6000, which they stopped making, but the new ones look good.

The only thing I don't like - which will probably be the case w/ any new computer - is that it came w/ a lot of crap I don't want, some of which has caused annoying error messages when I shut down. So I'm trying to figure out what I can uninstall. Like "free" AOL; I started out on AOL, and it might be better to have to go w/out than to go back to their sorry asses.

Thanks for all of the suggestions on a laptop. I think I am going to go with a Dell. That's what I was using before and I really liked it. No problems, except for the ones Macarena mentioned.

I've been coming to the library once a day to get my fix, so I'll be checking in on you guys, even if I don't have time to post comments to your blogs.

Hopefully I'll be back in full swing in no time.

I'm off to Idaho!! That will be another post all it's own I'm sure.

Good choice on your Dell decision, darlin'. I hope my rather long 2-cents of advice was helpful.

Idaho?!?! Bring me back some potatoes. :-)

As I told you previously, Mac is the way to go. But if you can't get a Mac - I suppose a Dell will do (smile).

I was thinking about you when Mayweather and De La Hoya fought over the weekend. Mayweather came out in a sombrero and a shirt that said something like, "Mexico loves Mayweather". A confused black man thinking that he was from a Spanish speaking area - made me think of you (LOL).

...no, I still won't kiss your ass and neither will the horse I rhode in on.

Hurry back, mon ami.

Your boy,
BJB

WOW!!! Andy remembered where my blog is!! Nice of you to stop by, Stranger.

Yes, thanks for all of the Dell input. I was leaning that way anyway despite the foolishess that BJB is spewing. Mac can bite me until they come down off the prices. Then and only then will I listen to why someone thinks they're better.

@ Island Spice

I'm going to look for that bag!!!

I think I've gotten rid of the error messages, leaving only the insane frustration/ignorance when I can click on stuff, but my commands go ignored, and even a black screen will hibernate and return unless I leave it alone until its good and ready to reboot.

Does your mousepad ever go haywire?

Still, I love my computer and, my discouraged nickname via mispronunciation notwithstanding, I have never used a Mac.
